Part 1

Bruno and his family move to a new house that is the headquarters of the concentration camp out with it Bruno and Gretle are angry at the fact that they left Berlin were all their friends were at to a new house in the middle of nowhere of course Gretle being 11 she dislike her brother and tells him he can't go to certain places such as a certain place outside were a plaque is barley visible Bruno can barley make out the words out~~~h co~~~~~ant~~~ ca~p. one day a strange man by the name of Pavel comes over and is introduced to the family as a waiter, Bruno ask him to build a tire a wing and he does but later on Bruno gets out of control on the swing and falls done getting a small cut. Pavel treats the cut and tells him he was once a doctor.Later on they have a disaster with there grandparents coming over, the grandmother is the only one causeing trouble by being disappointed at his son for fighting for a horrible cause Bruno's grandfather tries to sooth the conversation down but it escalates more,

Bruno and his family are a nazi German family that move from Berlin, Germany to a concentration camp headquarters called out-with. Bruno goes of on a mission to find someone to play with. He stubbles upon a boy named Shmuel and has no idea why he is there.he quickly becomes friends with him.

Exposition

The story takes place in Berlin, Germany And the time setting is nazi Germany, and revolves around a nazi German family, the family members are Bruno, Gretle, father, mother, and Maria(maid). Bruno's father is the commander of his sector for the nazi Germany army. Gretle is Bruno's sister and constantly despise and mock him. Bruno is the the main character in the book and he is living happily in Berlin, Germany, finally Bruno's mother their is not much to say about her the book doesn't give much detail to her background so I don't have much to say about her. Then there is Maria the overpaid maid that lives in the basement and is constantly ordered around, that is all of the family members so far.

The boy in the striped pajamas

I think this book is going to be about a boy in striped pajamas and that is all you are able to tell by looking at the cover which looks like burlap with light blue and blue gray stripes. But after reading it I know that any reference to the boy comes later on in the book and instead of being introduced to the boy in the striped pajamas (Shmuel) . We are introduced to Bruno a boy who is dealing with large change on the world he knows by moving away from Berlin to out-with camp headquarters and has no idea what behind the fence. He later on explores out and finds a boy on the other side of the fence and realizes that he's in a completely different world than Shmuel is in.
